Alaska 261-Pacific Plunge

My heart died the day 261 fell from the sky. It's been 11 years but the pain never ends. Capt. Thompson and F/O Tansky were two of the best pilots out there. The situation was hopeless yet both fought and struggled to save the craft, up to the moment of impact. Further, they asked for a block altitude over the ocean, to try to regain control, rather than doing it above a populated area. They wanted to be sure nobody on the ground got hurt, if they couldn't regain control. Honor these men.

The person/people (in Alaska Air maintenance) should have been spent to prison for life, or worse. Not only did 261 cost 88 people their lives BUT the manner that they died was not acceptable. My understanding is that the pax list included any number of small children.

@Karlamon9 Your takeoff sucked almost as much as the pilots on that flight.

@Louisehascancer Thanks for pointing those out, I realize that. Besides, I no longer do air crash recreations. Nowadays I do canine art on DeviantArt.

@Karlamon9 Please accept this in the spirit with which it is intended. That being as informative and not critical in nature. I've viewed some of your recreations and came away distracted by the frequent incorrect spellings of words with which you describe the events. One way you can attempt to weed out errors in spelling is to proof-read the text or have someone read it prior to posting. For example, both this video and the Gimli Glider recreations have numerous spelling errors. Proof-read first
