"The MISSION of the DRAGON" Part One

According to the legend the Buddha called to all the animals so that they approached him before he left from the Earth.

Only twelve animals went to their call. The Buddha compensated them naming to one per year according to the order in which each one had arrived. Therefore, the animals formed a sequence of twelve cycles, beginning with the rat, and following by the bull, the tiger, the rabbit, the dragon, the serpent, the horse, the goat, the monkey, the rooster, the dog, and the last one; the pig or wild boar.

Until now this fable is narrated like the event that establishes and orders the twelve animals of the Chinese Horoscope, but has been that the only intention of the Buddha? NO, of course that NO!.

Today, after so many years, we will know the history that nobody has never knew [...]

This invaluable treasure was the Compass of Destiny; from the beginning of the times was a gift of the Goddess of the Earth to the people [...]

In his vision of the future the Buddha also perceived an eminent danger, an empire of the West would boast itself to be the only owner of the Truth and would try to dominate the world, who confronted them, would die or would be slandered.

He also perceived that many would be revealed against the dogmatic ones and that a new discipline would be born; but the battle against the imperial oppressors would last long time.

In this context, the Buddha decided to choose to one of the twelve animals to be the eternal guardian of the Compass of Destiny.

But, which of these animals could fulfill this feat?

Of the twelve animals that visited the Buddha in that famous occasion, the only animal that still instilled the respect of the men was the Dragon, the only animal which the humans could not put under; his decision was obvious [...]


In the Eastern culture, the followers of the Buddha have respected and venerated to the Dragons, them cause admiration, fascination and are objects of celebration cults and devotion.

Nevertheless in the Western Culture the things are different, imperialistic of the old world tried to seize of the Compass of Destiny so that anyone can make a journey by the Path in the search of the Universal Truths, they were boasted to be the only owners of the Truth.

When they could not do, they invented all class of calumnies, they catalogued to the Dragon like a personification of evil, like a representation of the own devil.

Is when the Dragon decided to exile himself in the stellar constellations of the North, where no human can arrive [...]

The Path in Search of the Truth was illuminated with the Compass of Destiny when the minds of men and women awoke to accomplish the mission of their lives...

    but this whole chinese calender thing im not convinced in sri lanka new year is on the 14th of april. now globally new year is on the 1st january but due to different time zones, allow 24-36 hours so the maximum difference being up to the 3rd january. i know i aint a rabbit man, i jst want your opinion!
