Em muitas das mais belas baladas inglesas, geralmente o rapaz mata a garota para evitar o casamento e/ou a paternidade (como em Pretty Polly, Oma Wise e The Oxford Girl), mas o mais freqüente é que faça isso com objetivo de roubar (como em Willow Garden) ou por razoes desconhecidas (como em Tom Dula). Muito poucas vezes, da forma como acontece em Florella e em Banks of the Ohio, o motivo é o ciúme.
This sound is low quality because it was extracted from the second LongPlay of Joan Baez (Volume 2), originality of 1961. I do my best but I didn't get to remove the noises. Sorry!
The Argentinean version of that LP was release by Del Repertorio Vanguard in 1961 and received the subtitle "Old Blues". Apart from that, it is exactly equal to the American North version.

j'aime beaucoup cette version . Il y a aussi celle de Pete Seeger dans ses American Favorites Ballads qui est à posséder si l'on aime le folk song et son histoire .Pete Seeger made researchs about each song he sings and compares several versions . He explains the origins of each song and sings it well . He is a master in banjo playing and guitar .and a scientist in musics .

the nice backup on this cut is the Greenbriar boys, the first urban bluegrass band...hard to find anything on u tube by them but look up John Herald
