Actually, rabies in cats is pretty much extinct but yes people should spay/neuter their cats and try to keep them inside. There's no law agianst letting your cat roam so it's not illegal but people should have to microchip their pets and also change some laws so if one's pet is bothering someone else and gets caught the microchip will tell who's pet and that person should pay a big fine. That way they'll try to keep'em inside. Hurting creatures who don't know any better is not the answer.

@ilamum I'll tell you why. cats come to my yard and sportkill all the rabbits. they also have rabies and spread that disease to everything. One cat came into my backyard where my dogs are TWICE in ONE day. the second time my big puppy broke it's spine and I shot it with a 20 gauge twice. there is only one cat i reallylike and it is my neighbors. I don't see how people expect to let there cats roam like wild animals killing everything and have no one shoot them.
