The President has denied TransCanada's federal permit, but the company and their Big Oil partners are calling in their multi-million dollar investments in political influence to try and force the pipeline through. This fight is far from over, but the President's decision is no less a major win in the fight to stop America from becoming a polluted weigh station on tar sands way to foreign markets

Wait a minute, it seems to me that the XL-pipeline is not a dead issue, just yet. There's politics going on with the delay, and it's a welcome thing to be sure. But totally rejected? Please clarify because we need to keep the pressure on.
