flow at both ends: 4 m/s opening at 1 atm. The flow butts. Trying to determine if butting flow is better than a 90 deg flow. So far butting seem safer. Less wall shearing and also cavitation.

  • please, i want to know the explanation behind this

  • its a simulation of " mixing butting" flow (or head on flow). Normally in HVAC we are advised to avoid flow situations where the vector direction of each flow opposes each other.
