Gotta love Korea, how parents force their kids to be good at an instrument (lately, the guitar).

Well, I'll admit that I made up the part about his middle name. The rest of it is true, though.

If you are interested in some background information about Sungha, I encourage you to click on 'jwcfree' which is his father's site. There is considerable biographical info there, and the address of Sungha's website, which contains interview information, etc.

There are some 230 videos, several of which show him with professional guitarists, family, concerts, etc.

@stayonmytoes:

The opposite is closer to the truth. His parents discouraged him at first, until they realized how serious he was.

The Korean school system is very demanding --- and it comes first. So, he practices for about 2 hours per day. He started when he was 9; he's 13 now (11 when this video was made).

Lakewood, a German guitar maker, provides his guitars now. He is on a first-name basis with several of the finest professionals in the world.

His middle name is 'Success.'

Amazing! You are going to be one of the best some day. Hell, your one of the best right now! Remember to keep practicing as much as you can and join a band and make good music. Not like most of the new crap these days.
