Cherry is right, the refs are all over ottawa and they have been all year. The refs really almost fucked us last game.

During a scrum in the playoffs between Boston and Washington, Lucic and Alzner got tied up. Alzner got a cheap shot in and Lucic took offence, so Alzner taunted him. Chara knew Lucic was angry so he talked to him and got him to use his anger to fuel his physical play. The Bruins fed off of that and played physical for the rest of the series

It's obstruction. Brooks Orpik and Jason Chimera slammed the refs early in the season and the league got real angry about it but they're absolutely right, the whistles disappear in the playoffs because the league wants faster games. And of course asshole Bill Daly comes along and flat out denies it while playing the whole "league is hurt by these statements we would NEVER stoop to that level", the same way politicians come out and say they're lowering taxes for the middle class. Sickening.
