Do you think the American government really represents the American people? Neither do we, and we're out to fix it. Join the campaign to pass the American Anti-Corruption Act at www.Represent.Us.

Trevor Potter is the former chairman of the Federal Election Commission and a renowned conservative constitutional lawyer - but you probably know him as Steven Colbert's chief legal counsel. He helped set up Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow — the most famously ridiculous electioneering group since Karl Rove.

Mr. Potter is the lead counsel on the team that crafted the American Anti-Corruption Act. Here he discusses how the Act fixes America's Super-PAC problem

What I most like about the American Anti-Corruption Act is that it's about approaching people, one at a time, working through us...and not through politicians first. That is how this whole thing will come to succeed...By the people, For the people, Of the people.

This is great! I am not an "activist" but I completely support represent.us and their American Anti-Corruption Act, as well as Move to Amend's efforts to take human/constitutional rights away from corporations with a constitutional amendment. There is no reason to immerse yourself in politics and sign 15 petitions a day when simply pushing these two issues as hard as you can would naturally result in a government that actually represents The People.

Spread the word. Change is here, but only if we make it happen.
