We asked members of Historic Royal Palaces staff which of Henry VIII's wives as the best. Here, Kate Mechedou explains how two years spent playing Katherine of Aragon have convinced her that she is, the first, best and truest wife of King Henry: as a crucial part of Henrys team, the wife who was blessed with (or suffered?) him for the longest and the one who enjoyed him in his physical prime as the pin-up prince.
Next year Hampton Court Palace will be home to rarely seen 16th-century portraits of each of the women in Henry VIII's life mother, sisters daughters and wives - and will be joined by evocative objects intimately connected to their fate.

My order is: 1.Anne Boleyn and Katherine Parr(both amazing,educated,bold,free-thi nking women far before their time&both influential) 2.Catherine of Aragon(effective queen, also very educated, good wife, but too superstitious to me) 4.Anna of Cleves(a real survivor, smart enough to make the best out of a bad situation) 5.Jane Seymour(smart enough to keep her mouth shut, and ok,she was the only one to give a son to Henry, but hey, that's more luck than accomplishment!) 6.Katheryn Howard(a poor teenager)
to be honest i think in order of the best wives goes Jane because she fufilled all duties, Katherine of Aragon because she remained true all the way, Anne of Cleaves because she was constantly loyal, Katherine Parr because she brought the tudors together in the last years, Anne Boleyn she did give Henry a hard time but also was a mother of Elizabeth, Katherine Howard last because i think that no matter what the circumstances were she wouldnt had been best for Henry
