@msrFore yeah I realize now that it was most likely from him not shifting properly. The transmission didn't blow up but the shifting forks were bent so he probably shifted without the clutch while accelerating hard. It was a rider error not the machine.

I know someone with a 2009 crf450 with low hours and it's tranny blew up. 09's r bad. it's a common problem with them.
