The nice people at the AAT have written a song dedicated to accountants and book-keepers everywhere.
We know they are working very hard at this time of year filing returns and saving us money.

But do they get the love they deserve? Of course not. So we have written a special valentines thank you to show our appreciation.

  • Hmm... Accountancy meets FOTC... is that...allowed?!

  • I tried all of this at the time and I was told "because your tutor did not call with the news, we can not do anything."

It was my brother that died the day before my exam - but I did not hear about his death until 7am the following day (the day of my exam that was held at approx 9am.) I still attended the exam but warned hem that I wasn't sure how I would cope due to the news. they sat me at the back of the class in case I had to with draw.

  • Cool video!

  • I'm really sorry if that was your experience but I work for the AAT and we always re-credit students who suffer a bereavement close to the exams. We don't refund but we do carry the money over to the next exam sitting. Of course, everyone's situation is different but it sounds like it would be worth you calling the Student Services team to discuss your options.

  • Wish the AAT was a bit more sympathetic when a very close relative dies, on the day of exams - but wont refund exam monies......!! That would have meant so much more.

  • I think it's definitely meant to be tongue in cheek.

  • I agree..and i'm far from the typical text-book accountant (not that i'm fully qualified yet) well, they managed to raise a chuckle from me..It was funny..but in an cringy way. I read over the song words and it just made me think nooo..seriously? why would they do that?! haha :)

  • saviour of my savings lol brill

  • lol

  • I wish the ACCA would send me one :( i would appreciate it more from them...
