Sabin tosses that phantom train.

Video gaming doesn't get better than this.

Depends on how they execute it. If it would be 3d like VII, VIII and IX it would work, but if it was like X, XII or XIII it would probably just feel weird.

You can find 'em on eBay and Amazon for about $40. The kicker is, that's without the box, manual, or map--cartridge only. The whole shebang in one go will cost you about $129.

Ahahahaha! Yeah, I finally caved and got a copy on Amazon (I'd been hoping for one that DIDN'T cost an arm and a leg . . . got impatient). There was some cartridge rattle and the first day of play was very iffy and had a lot of self-resetting, but it seems to be doing okay now :D The iffy part now is my own memory! I was lucky enough to have a gamer-mom and played a lot of it with her and my sister.

Truth is I've been doing the exact same thing, got FF6 on the eShop and was replaying it :)

Yeah. Not to mention I always feel like they shouldn't sound, you know . . . American/English/etc. In my head I hear them with a very distinct accent when I read their dialogue. A voiceover would almost certainly use native accents, with the possibility for EXTREMELY unfortunate implications (I shudder to think what they'd do with Gau in the name of "accuracy").

Is it weird that I'd prefer a Legend of Zelda "silent characters" 3D version, instead of adding voices like the later FFs have? I've "heard" these characters in my head since I was a little girl and I think I'd be disappointed if they sounded different.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME. If I'd known that three days ago, I would have formed a party of all my Level 33s and taken them into the Cave of the Triad instead of running around Triangle Island hunting Intangirs. (well, I guess this means I can ditch Strago and throw Edgar in . . .)

Thanks for the tip though :D My copy of the game was stolen when I was ten and I only recently acquired a new one. It's like playing it for the first time all over again.
