  • This is a great clip and the entire movie tells you a lot about race relations in America at that time...and yes, Maxine is simply amazing!!

Thanks for your comment and pleased you ennjoyed Maxine.

  • Old Louis uncle tomming as per, grinning and clicking only thing missing is that white handkerchief and a watermelon/piece of chicken. Good song though!

  • Muchas gracias por compartirlo.

  • I love this so. If you have anymore of these great clips like this, just let me know when you post. Thank you for this wonderful breathe of fresh air. This just shows how much talent blacks and whites had back then. LOVE IT, THANK YOU

  • Please .. what is the movie title ?

Ignore the Tomming, and look at the sheer artistry.

There is more talent in the composition and performance in a sliver of this clip than in a whole year's worth of modern pop music. And as far as sterotypes, I'd rather have a grinning Louis Armstrong than a drugged Snoop Doggy Dog. Black Americans now are still sterotyped, but are too ignorant to see it. Just look at the movie, "Soul Plane", and tell me what will be said about that 50 years from now.

  • Maxine is Amazing
