Nobody ran the 80's. That's a record label mentality. If anyone deserves credit it's was Stevie Wonder or Prince, who were rare artists that actually wrote and performed their own music, not to mention wrote for other artists. The beautiful thing about the 80's is that there was a huge diversity of great singers and producers. As much stupid crappy music as there is today (I would know, I'm 24 and supposed to like this trash), there was just as much creative soulful funky music then. I love it.

@LBJTV I can't disagree with that, what we both agree on is it was not Lilo, even though I dug some of his music ("Good Girl" get's listened to weekly when I'm spinning at home...)
