Aval Vilayikyuka is an olden recipe of India. It is prepared using beaten rice, jaggery, cashewnuts, kismis, etc. This video was shot when I was at my Aunt's home in Kerala. We prepared this recipe using the older means of prepration who has three stones and fire lit below it.

  • Thanks for posting this home video! this was the only recipe for aval vilayichathu that i found.nice to see the whole family involved in making this.curry leaves is the english word for "karivepilla" and sesame seeds for "ellu".

    aval -- beaten rice (rice flakes)

    curry veppila --- curry leaves

    ellu ------ sesame seeds.
