Poor parakeet :(
-
@RJBURG I will have to check this out, but it seems that it would not be as stable, the pot surface would have that odd curve up (less surface area to balance on), and the pot further from the heat source. I did just do a quick search and cannot find anyone using it any other way, can you please reply with info. Thanks!

It's a very fine stove. I've used it for solo fairly short solo trips since 1989 or so. Something much like it has been around for roughly 100 years.
Not so perfect for more than one person. Is too slow and uses too much fuel.
Wind can DRASTICALLY increase fuel consumption.

@joe25ification I agree with the wind consumption, but also find that if no wind that two person use becomes ok. It is the only stove we pack for 2-3 people, usually two fills per meal, with a little fuel left over.

I've gotten too shy of the gasket in the lid to transport fuel inside the thing.

@joe25ification Mine (the one in this video) is still trucking along just fine (get's used constantly), but I am curious if a replacement can be sourced if needed.
