I think the 5 backgroug readings are meant for people to set 5 commonly used backgrounds.
You only need to set it once if you are reading just in one area.
Anyway, this is very informative.

A million thanks! I learned more from watching your 15 minute video than I have from hours and hours of studying the Russian/English translated instructions. My Radex LCD screen is also in Russian (I notice yours has English) so I was really having a hard time guessing even what the on screen menu headings were. You cleared up the confusion beautifully!!!!!
