Im 5'5 and bought a 08 GSA and to fix the height issue I simply put the "low" seat and its fine now!

Your dealer is wrong. The seats fit either bike, and there are even lower seats made by other companies, too.

The dealer told me that the lower seat can't be fitted to the Adventure, only the standard GS. But I don't see why it could not be fitted to the Adventure, only frame difference is suspension.

nice bike for my 6'6..... I'm sure I could feel comfortable on it!

I have just test ridden the 1200GS & was impressed. Looking at setting one up like the Adventurer. Would by the Adventurer but the seat height is just to high for my 5'7" body :-) great video.
