Average man drives the Lexus LFA!!

My friend and I were guests of Lexus at a driving event at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, CA in Feb 2011.

I channeled my inner Top Gear presenter while driving the car. My commentary is barely more than a babble- makes me respect automotive journalists that much more- it's not easy to talk about a car both intelligently and spontaneously!!

Well anyway I hope you enjoy it and get a sense of the thrill this experience was. I am immensely jealous of those folks that can afford such an expensive car, and I hope they really make the most of it! (uh hum, I'm talking to you Paris!!).

The LFA is a masterpiece of engineering- each part of the car has been highly thought out, from Carbon Fiber body panels to aerodynamic wing mirrors that funnel air to the cooling ducts.

God. What a bunch of know-it-all dickheaded comments. First of all, read the title. AVERAGE MAN drives the Lexus LFA. So, right there, we are not expecting him to have the racing skills of Jackie frickin' Stewart. Secondly, he has to follow the Lexus rep in the IS-F around the track, not drive it flat out like some teenager on acid. So he is kind of limited in how fast he can go. Third, it's his FIRST TIME driving the car! It's not like he is already familiar with it, or anything.
