Taken on the midnight of 12-11-2006, from the 2nd story of the opposite carpark. This is the last time the old ferry pier's clock tower to ring before it is to be demolished along with the rest of the old pier.

But there is a new clock tower directly opposite the old clock tower at Piers 7 and 8. You can tell that the new clock tower has similar sounding bells to the old one.

Even so, the jingle still not as good as the old, made-in-UK one...

In Hong Kong, that's what called "progress"...under such principle, nothing old is deemed worthy to keep around.

Yeah, I can perfectly understand why some people missed the Brits...
i heard the movement, bells and faces are in storage, they were supoosed to be placed in the clock of the new star ferry terminal.
