One one hand, its bad that it has no MMS support, but on the other hand I have never had the need to send one, nor have I ever recived one. So I think, I can manage without.

I don't understand how to set it up to send sms - something which I am sure is very basic but I can't work it out at all.

MMS is a text message with a photo. It is sent over the cellular network rather than the data network.

Yes, I use IM with Skype, Google Talk, and Windows Live right now. You can add other clients too

Does windows live come with the phone or do i have to get a separate application...
i need a phone like this and was really hoping i can use msn messenger (windows live) all the time so can u do that with n900... Thank you :D

The IM client is on the phone and then there is a small free utility you can download to initiate Windows Live connection. It uses the default, included IM client though.
