The object of Poker Dice is to get the best possible five-card poker hand.

To complete this How-To you will need:

Five poker dice
A dice cup
Two or more players
A dice tray

Step 1: Put dice in cup

Put the poker dice in the dice cup. The six faces of each die simulate a playing card deck's top six markings: ace, king, queen, jack, ten, and nine.

Tip: Poker dice hands use five-card poker rankings from highest to lowest.

Step 2: Shake dice cup and roll

Shake the dice cup and roll the dice onto a dice tray or another flat surface. Each player gets one roll.

Step 3: Stand pat or roll again

Stand pat with your first hand, or set aside some of your hand and re-roll the remainder. Any dice set aside cannot be re-rolled.

Step 4: Best poker hand wins

The player with the best poker hand wins.

@Madhofd woah 11 months ago, ok hope I help, there´s ONLY 5 dices first player throws gets his hand and remembers it, then it`s player 2's turn with the same 5 dices and if the dices somehow fall to the floor or something he gets to do his throw again

I have a question:

What if someone throws his dice.. and accidently knocks over his opponents dice and all the dice get mixed up. The opponnent remembers the dice he threw. May the person who screwed up his throw rethrow? Or does he automatically lose the game? Someone shed some light on this matter please. Thx

You are comparing "Yahtzee" to "Five Card Draw" or "Poker Dice". There are many similarities, but the main difference is that there is betting in poker; and usually in poker dice. Also, the list of acceptable hands is slightly different and the way to score, or win, is different.

Yahtzee is poker dice...only you have 1-6 instead of the top 6 values, and you have special paper to write on...

I haven't played Yahtzee in a while, so if there are any other differences that actually mean something, let me know.
