  • The Brownback grassroots volunteers were busy doing GOTV and finalizing logistics the day before the straw poll, as anyone with campaign experience would know ... and the air-conditioned tent was a basic courtesy toward their supporters on a day when the heat index was around 100 degrees.

  • Oh...I understand, GOTV is very important, and I'm sure all campaigns were doing the same. The comment in the video basically relates to boots-on-the-ground at the tent site, which were not volunteers. In contrast to the Paul camp which was completely set up by grassroot volunteers.

  • Brownback was the only candidate with an air-conditioned tent. To state it was a 'basic' courtesy is a bit overstating the gesture. If it was basic, other candidates would have followed suit (notably the Romney camp). Ron Paul supplied sno-cones, which went over very well! Thanks for your comment, it is appreciated.

  • lol

So you selfrighteous snide ron paul spammers have found new tricks to get your candidate hated, haha.

    Sore losers.

Your guys brag about their personal vote fraud in Iowa (nonresidents using other people's IDs) right on Paul's website.

    Way to go!

    Nice job

  • This is blatantly false. I don't understand why you are making this accusation on my video, since it doesn't state anything relating to non-residents, or the voting process during the poll. The video was recorded the day before the event. Please cite a reference to the comments made on Ron Paul's website urging people to vote illegally. If you can't, please retract your outrageous statement.

  • Catches it perfectly.

  • Yes, I guess you're right, Senator Brownback went far beyond basic courtesy and showed the most extensive courtesy toward his supporters! He had sno-cones too. And cotton candy! Fun video; I enjoyed watching it.

  • i agree 100%

  • for the time and money spent I think RON PAUL did very well

  • Converted Independent ..now Rep. !!VOTE!! iowagop(dot)net amestrib(dot)com abcnews.go(dot)com/Politics/Decision2008/popup?id=3436820 uspolitics.about(dot)com/b/a/207985.htm nrsc(dot)org/survey/ gopstrawpolls(dot)com 1ginormousmouth(dot)com tshirtpoll(dot)com ...and get a sign in your yard. Ron Paul!
  • It's clear that the other candidates pay their way through their campaigns. Only Ron Paul's campaign is a REAL people's campaign, which comes from the heart... hence the enthusiasm of Ron Paul's followers: they represent true activism. They sow the seeds of freedom and whether these seeds will sprout depends on how enlightened the masses become.

Yet the ripe time seems to be approaching.

  • Unfortunately, I "heard" that number on a newscast but don't remember which one because I listen to them all. I do know that the WSJ ran an article on Mitt quoting Iowa Republicans as expecting him to buy 10,000 tickets. An interesting fact from the Des Moines Register: Brownback, Huckabee and Romney the #1,2,3 finishers chartered over 100 busses each. Seems that that investment paid off.
