My science buddies put together another fun biology music video again! This time it was done to the song "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha.

About PCR:
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a commonly used cell and molecular laboratory procedure to make many copies of a desired nucleotide sequence. So if you're in the lab and need to work with many copies of your strand, you better know PCR! The procedure requires a minimum of template strands (somewhere on there will contain your desired nucleotide sequence), forward and reverse primers (these go on to find the beginning of the desired sequence and initiate DNA polymerization, nucleotides (your building blocks), Polymerase (your construction worker... usually Taq since this sucker can handle the high heat that you'll need to amplify your sequence at) and buffer and water (just so everyone feels at home).

So what do I need to have in order to run
This PCR protocol, cause it seems like it's fun!
Well to set up PCR, you need 6 basic things
Make sure you have these at your bench, you will know what to bring.

I'm talkin' primers, nucleotides and template
DNA polyermase to create
Buffer and water to set the game straight.
Now now, we need to set up a good protocol
To denature anneal and most of all
Extend to amp our template DNA
