The Sea World in Japan is not affiliated with the SeaWorld in America. They aren't the same park, and to be honest, I don't know if they've even ever communicated. If you're going to discuss your "facts" you better get your stuff together and do some research.

If you are going to discuss your "facts" than you had better discuss them ALL! Sea World, for example DOES NOT need to make a request for a permit to transfer a dolphin to the US because they operate (DBA) in both the US and in Japan, yes? Your info is inaccurate. Since when is it EVER a conservation effort in your dolphin programs at Dolphins Plus and the like, to have humans interact with dolphins? Or any wild animal? That is a total

And..... meanwhile it is proven that Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia import dolpins from Taiji. Probably many more countries ! But: the million dollar industry hides that. Ever tried to track the way of a dolphin or whale to a dolphinarium ?????Try it....you won`t be successful !

You seek to undermine the precepts of this film. it is irrelevant where the dolphins go. Do not AMERICANS and every other western people visit dolphin theme parks around the world? We are all complicit. By "enjoying" the spectacle of captive dolphins, Whether caught in Japan or not.

I feel the producers have shown us the horror at taji, as an empathy driven device for the argument against slaughter AND capture of dolphins EVERYWHERE. It is wrong no matter where or when it takes or took place.

Also, Both seaworlds are affiliated in breeding programs. Seaworld has some of Oscar's sperm, Kamogawa Sea Worlds bull orca.

Although the Seaworld in Japan and the one in America aren't the same comapny, they are affiliated between each other. Seaworld actually imported 4 wild-caught pilot whales from Kamogawa Seaworld because they needed more pilot whales (theirs had died), but couldn't get them from the drive fisheries themselves because of bad publicity. That's why they had Kamogawa Seaworld obtain them from the drive fisheries, then send them to Seaworld, hoping no one would find out. People did find out though.

I did not say just American Sea World, many other parks LIKE sea world do get their dolphins from places like those in my comment above. many of those parks are just now realizing they could lose publicity and popularity, so they haven't been doing so for the last 2 years or so.

The trainers are from Asian Aquariums, not from any Dolphinarium outside of Asia (occasionally from Dubai though). They make up less than 1% of the total catch in Taiji, they make more money by slaughtering Dolphins than by captivity.

SeaWorld (As targeted by Ric O'Barry) are three parks in the States. SeaWorld had 2 Dolphins come from Japan (not a Drive) in the 60's and Argo the Pilot Whale. The Dolphinarium's in Asia are NO relation to SeaWorld US. There are lots of places where Dolphins are hunted for pest control/meat (Faroe Islands, Taiji is just one of many around Japan). SeaWorld do not capture Bottlenosed Dolphins and haven't for a couple of decades.

a little late, but there are only 5-6 places in the world where dolphins are hunted for meat, and also sold to "Sea World" type parks around the globe. SO YES, Sea World did, or still does, get their dolphins from Japan, or from the other few places around the world.
