yep your rite it is the first modle of a timbermaster. they have improved them a lot and they were built in scothland. worked one of them for years cold wet and a bloody dangerous job but thats what it took to make a liveing in Ireland in the 80s years. miss them good old days

@Forestmachines this was the first job i was on in the forestry with my papa danny it is a place called glenap near stranraer and it was a alp skyline .seems like yesterday !I was 15 at the time time flies if you have any more footage it would be good to see

I can't believe I saw this video, the guy operating the machine is my uncle, Danny Keirs. He died a few years ago and he is greatly missed by all of our family. My mother phoned me today saying she had seen this and my dad and her keep watching it. It's exactly as I remember him.

@suzukial I remember Danny well. I took this video over 20 years ago when he was working down here near Dumfries. Think it was on the side of Criffel. Glad my video brought back some memories for you.

its an early version of an igland trailor alp sky line we had one like it only with a cab. even with the cab it was still cold and wet in the winter lol

No, I think it was a small outfit built in Britain in the 80's. I'm not sure but it might be a Timbermaster?
