Haha isnt it typical of John Howard to leave the election until the last minute. If he thinks he's going to win then he needs professional help. So do the people that vote for him. And all that money wasted on APEC could have been put towards something less pointless. Like charities or animal shelters. I hope Liberal lose this year or I'm out of this country.

Couldn't be said better. He's about to be thrown out. This is the end-game for Liberals. Their party is in tatters, and now Alexander Downey (The defense minister) wants to challenge him for the PM role. The inside bickering over leadership is leaving Labor to run rings around them in the polls, and the election will be a landslide win for Labor.

Yeah, I guess an ad hominem argument is still an argument of sorts. Pity they so often get successfully used to silence actual debate on actual issues though.
Oh, and just for the record we don't actually have the right to freedom of speech here in Oz, and so far we never have.
