The Talk: Sprint is building a WiMax high-speed mobile data network which will debut commercially in Chicago in the fourth quarter. The network, called XOHM, will bring broadband speeds to your mobile device as fast as your home computer. It creates a new dimension to online mobility with a largely location-centric experience. This "geobrowsing" effect provides location context and will give XOHM members a richer, personal, mobile broadband experience.

Bio: Kim Green-Kerr is Regional Vice President for Sprints North Region which covers 17 states from Illinois to New York up to Boston.

Green-Kerr brings to the position over 18 years experience in sales, management and leadership. In her current role, she has responsibility for sales and distribution for Public Sector, Healthcare and General Business while leading the Regions marketing and strategic planning initiatives.

Green-Kerr is a thirteen-year Sprint Nextel veteran and, in her previous position, as Area Vice President for the Michigan/ Northwest Ohio Market she had P&L responsibility for all channels of distribution in the market with annual revenues near $1.40 billion. Prior to that she served as vice president Enterprise Accounts for the North Region, where she was responsible for the top global and national accounts based in the Northeast Region selling Sprints wireline and wireless portfolio of products and solutions.

Previously, she has served in a variety of leadership positions with increasing scopes of responsibility, including leading the majority of Nextel Universitys seven training institutes which provided a variety of leading-edge training and development programs for the companys workforce, vice president of corporate/major accounts, where she was responsible for driving partnerships and revenue growth with the FORTUNE 1000 Midwestern customer base. She has led development of innovative programs, processes and tools for the direct distribution channel, which resulted in increased productivity and retention across the business. She also has been instrumental in building, developing and influencing a number of sales channels and markets, including the launch and development of the St. Louis market.

Green-Kerr is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in journalism, minor in public relations. She completed the Nextel Executive Leadership Program at The McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University. She currently serves as a Board Member of Inforum. In a previous capacity, she served as a Board Member for Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area, board member on the Schaumburg Elementary School Foundation and is past-president of Professional Women's Association—St. Louis Chapter.
