Remember my posts to him when I said that Eli has more credentials than just 2 SBs and 2 SB MVPs? And how it drove him nuts when I wouldn't tell him what I was thinking? What you have said is one of the credentials that I was thinking. Another is that Eli led the game winning drive against a previously undefeated team that was on the cusp of history! That warrants attention.

Ryan Leaf couldn't drive his car out of his driveway without messing it up. There's very little chance if any that he would have thrown and completed that pass to Manningham. The pressure of the whole situation is one that would make Leaf crack even against a 31st ranked defense "in yards". Eli on the other hand looks forward to those opportunities. That's when his confidence is at it's highest!

Yeah, the 2011 Pats D in terms of yards allowed were a shitty defense. But they were not bad in points allowed (15th in the NFL) and in turnover differential (3rd in the NFL).
