Speaker Pelosi - The Employee Free Choice Act

To help ease the economic squeeze on America's middle class families, Democratic lawmakers have introduced the Employee Free Choice Act (H.R. 800), a bill with 234 cosponsors that would help workers join together to bargain for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. Union workers earn 30 percent more, on average, than do nonunion workers, and union workers are much more likely to have healthcare, pensions and more generous paid time off.

That's true for the vast majority of people in power, definitely, but I have seen a select few decent politicians... Granted, one would be hard-pressed to find them, but they are out there.

While I disagree with those who say that US job losses directly correlate with unions, I do agree that some unions have way too much power and are taking advantage and are giving unions a bad name.

As for Nancy Pelosi, she had a real opportunity to clean things up and instead became another corporate drone who not only doesn't care about the plight of the middle-class and poor but also doesn't care to find out.
