SINthetik Terror yeah...I lived in the period and was a Futurist...then a Pyscho Billy....then a Goth...between 1983-1988....I had to give it up because I found a proper job and had to look 'grown up''....but it was a great period, one felt all the time one was doing something so different just by having one's hair and clothes different....Kensington Market and the Great Gear Market were great places to shop and just hang out in

This was a seminal period in the development of youth culture....problem is that NOW these very types of fashion styles have become cliched and dated.....one CANNOT live retrospectively within a genre of fashion....its ridiculous people try to 'live' a Goth 'lifestyle'....THATS PATHETIC...principally because these were transitional youth styles....one adopted them in order to feel 'different. Youth allows one to do these things..as an adult...particularly in one's 40's one begins to look crass!
