  • @TheTerrorUforgot hey i agree with that. this style does have room for improvements especially when laying on the mat, i take no offense to that. its when ppl say its completely useless and should never be used that i get offended.

  • @21526001270528 Are you saying Aikido couldn't make improvements? There is a Japanese guy on YT who does more live sparring as well as cross-style engagements. There are Aikidoka out there who attempt moves from the greco-roman over-under clinch with MMA guys. The style has room for improvements, imo, and is only improved more by doubts and new ideas.

  • aikido does work in real life situation, but its a more acquired style to defend yourself. you have to use precise timing and movemt to get the opponent off balance and alot of the moves are subtle thus you dont see it. the reason they arent attackin at once is because they dont want to injure their partner or get in his way if he is attacking. having hands up is called tegetana or handsword its a fundumental technique, and you dont resist. if you do you will get broken bones; its dangerous

  • @throttlelever In Judo it is important to spar with resistance to learn to fight.

  • ouch..... they don't have mats??? ouch.... (that happens to me every time my sensei throw me)

  • @capoeira204 Randori always meant sparring to me. This is just a drill. The same as all of their demos. Judo and BJJ do actual sparring. Aikido do this ultra-compliant routine and consider themselves able to defend themselves.

    Fact is, they're wrong.

  • @TheTerrorUforgot im a judoka too, but i disagree with you. In judo, there is both offense and defense at the same time, in this randori, the attackers attack and don't defend, and the tori never attacks. Randori is a japanese word for free practice. practicing, freely. every martial art has a way of sparring. Have you seen a tai chi sparring session? how about a capoeira randori? judo, the objective is to throw, pin and submit. In BJJ, its the same thing.

  • As a Judoka, I must say this sham shouldn't be caled Randori.

  • How is called the most used technique iof this vid?

  • @pedromandello None and all martial arts work in "a real situation"...

It's not about the art itself, it's about the user and how he uses it.

Aikido allows you to learn about physics, motions and rhythm.

As for myself, i use my knowledge of martial arts to avoid conflicts, not to prove myself to anyone, but that's a personal choice.
