In the 5th game of the season, Abilene kept it close for the first 3 quarters or so but a couple of Marysville interceptions turned the once close game into a blow out as Marysville took a knee at the Abilene 8 to run out the clock. This win gave Marysville at the least a share of the NCKL championship for the second year in a row.
