Microwave Chip Maker: Barb: Hi, I'm Barb from The Pampered Chef Test Kitchen. Did you know that those gourmet so-called healthy veggie chips that you buy in the grocery store aren't all that healthy? They're usually fried and loaded with sodium. How would you like to make your own crispy chips without any added oil or fat in just minutes? Well mission accomplished with The Microwave Chip Maker!

It comes in a set of two 11-in. round plates that can be used alone or stacked in the microwave. The holes and scalloped base allow for air flow making the chips nice & crispy.

Ok, I've already sliced some potatoes into 1 millimeter slices. And you know, the Simple Slicer on the first setting is the best way to get the potatoes this thin. Then you just simply place the slices on paper towels. Sprinkle with just a pinch of salt and then blot with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This step is really important to make sure the chips are nice and crispy. Now you just simply arrange the slices on the plate in a single layer without overlapping. One plate will hold 15 to 20 russet potato slices depending on the size of the potato.

Now you just simply place in the microwave and cook for 5-6 minutes if using 1 plate or 8-9 minutes if using 2. And here's what they look like, don't they look great. It's not only great with potatoes, but also sweet potatoes, apple, and yucca.

It's dishwasher safe and has a 1 year guarantee. The Microwave Chip Maker...healthy and delicious chips every time. You'll never buy chips in the store again!
