Stranger than Angels and Demons: Atom smashers on quest for Big

Tom Hanks' new film Angels and Demons puts the spotlight on the CERN nuclear research centre, from which the movie's villains steal antimatter to destroy the Vatican. In reality, Cern's projects are more far-reaching than even Hollywood fiction: The international centre hopes to recreate the Big Bang that created the universe.

I think its ridiculous they decided to build a big machine that might recreate "the building blocks of life" I think obama should allow the research of nuclear aviation to continue where the research was stopped left back in the 60's.
