Ultra rare video of CH with Al, "Breathe Easy". European tour, february 1970 in Montreux, not the best quality, but hey, it's the Blind Owl! Check out Larry's cool bass solo. More coming soon, stay tuned.

  • Alan's biological mother died on October 5th 2011.

  • @MrsTopangaMusic Sorry to hear that.

  • Alan had an older sister who just died last year, about 40 years to the day that Alan died. He also had some younger step-siblings from his dad's second marriage. His sister's son and I have worked together for a number of years, and he was only about 8 when Alan died, but still has fond memories of him. I told him that his family should retrieve Alan's '54 Goldtop Les Paul from Holland and donate it to the R&R HOF where it belongs. Both his biological mom and step-mom are still alive.

  • @neverfrisco Thanks for the cool info.

  • GREAT .... I was there .. I was 18 years as a grew up in Switzerland .. The same week we also saw Deep Purple and 'I got stoned and missed it' .. Thanks for the memory ..

  • @kalberthy You're more than welcome, my friend - looks like it was a great gig that night. And you were there! I wonder if we'll ever get to see more footage from this concert. Fingers crossed!

  • Long live Alan Christie Wilson! It's always a joy to see footage of him performing. And Larry "The Mole" Taylor is laying it down super greasy! Nobody brings the boogie like Canned Heat. I am so happy that film footage of these performances exist! Thank you ever so kindly for sharing.

  • Rare and nice footage of Bling Owl. Every little footage of him is so precious. A month ago i met his mother, we sat down and talked for an hour, she showed me some pics of little Alan and i saw his original records. WOW!!! His mother is a very nice lady.

  • The bass player is attacking that thing like he's playing an upright! Unreal! What a tight pocket with the drummer!

  • There are a lot of great harmonica players out there. Alan Wilson is one of the greatest.

  • amazing how strong is bear's stage presence even though he's not actually playing a part in the song

  • Fantastic stuff!
