What's happening:
Snake's forward-tilt attack (one of the most overpowered moves in the game) is a two-part attack, and there is a certain amount of frames after the first hit (which has no knockback power, assuming your opponent is on the ground) during which you will be able to execute the second hit (which has INSANE knockback power). If you allow that amount of frames to elapse without hitting the A button again, the move will be refreshed, and the next time you use an Ftilt, the first hit will come off instead of the second. The key here is to have the perfect amount of frames in between your first and second hit: not so few that you will use your second attack, but not so many that your opponent will be able to escape. Much like Snake Dashing (which I can make a tutorial video about if you guys want me to), the only way to perfect this technique is by practicing. My record is actually nine in a row, but the match was over 3 minutes long so I couldn't save the replay :(

  • I know this Technique

Me and my cousin found it while playing Brawl+

Its actually pretty easy to master, but he had me on the ground when he did it

He hit me 13 times in a row but I escaped after

He got me from 50% to around 115%

  • Yeah, I'll bet it's easier in Brawl+... 13 times? Really?

  • brother tried it 40 times... never got more then 1 hit xd

  • @dbrainstorm cool! are there some characters that will fall down instead of just having a hitstun? in ssbm, for example, fox can infinite shine some characters because they just have a hitstun and slide a litte, but some fall down so he can't infinite them

  • @indertorte that only works if the person using the knee lock (that's what it's called) makes a mistake in their timing.

  • yeah raping is snakes worst technique

  • can't you just DI out of it or use shield/evasion to escape it?

  • like all of snakes other techniques the trick is timing.

  • Yea I was DI'ing correctly but now I know how
