My baby was born due to pre-e at 35 weeks, and she was healthy as can be. I was lucky to have doctors that took me serious and listened to me and monitored me closely. If you dont have a doc thats taking you serious ladies, its time to find a new one, it saved my life!
@OrlaghOB fine, but it doesn't make one bit of difference as to the treatment of the patient - you treat the hypertension. Pregnancy induced Hypertension vs Preeclampsia = academics and theoreticians can argue over this... but a clinician will treat hypertension and not worry about names
@viklondon For a diagnosis of preeclampsia to be made, there has to be protein in the urine. That's Pre eclampsia. High blood pressure on its own, is not!
@kkexe For women at risk of pre eclampsia or experiencing high BP yes, not ALL pregnant women. Pregnancy is a normal life event, not an illness that needs to be monitored every day!
Tylenol is so weak.... I dont know why dipirona is not accepted in USA, is much better drug. All the world accept it. I know the study about dipirona and kidney problens, but tylenol has hepatic problens... so : /
for me was about the war for market of the companies....
I was diagnosed at 28 weeks. I managed to stay well enough until I was 38 weeks, when my doctor decided to induce me. My son was born via c-section weighing 8lbs 11oz.. he was healthy and robust. I on the other hand took a bad slide, and was in intensive care for a few hours afterwards. I continue to have issues with my blood pressure, when i had none before, nearly 2 years later.
i had preeclampsia when i was pregnant had an emergancy c section i now have a happy healthy near on 2yr old he was born 4 weeks early he was breathing fine he came out crying
I had this during pregnancy with NO symptoms!! Thank God for good pre-natal care!

that doctor is a bit stupid. it doesn't matter if there's proteinuria or not, hypertension itself during pregnancy is an alarm sign
