this is hard mode, right? The WHOLE GAME isn't this hard? Right? RIGHT?! xD

This is normal difficulty; there's still two higher difficulties, Hyper and EX. Each difficulty has songs ranging of pretty easy to very challenging so improving is a seamless process as you just move up through harder songs :)
