Microsoft doesn't need a new console, and either does Sony. If anything what is it going to bring to the table that's new? I personally dnt see anything new they would bring. In fact the only thing I would see them doing is making their console digital media. I think the Nintendo is the console that's needs the upgrade since it doesn't barely have 720p.
Microsoft needs to get more exclusives while Sony needs to make them sell cuz Socom, Grand turinsmo, and Mag were trash and I played them all.

the controller is the size of a checkerboard. wii u will start strong like the n64 but it will probaly fall hard when sony and microsoft come out with something stronger that will showcase their exclusives in a better light. but its early launch can prove to be the determining factor for nintendo.

PSN needs to improve for the PS3. Not to mention I wanna see more downloadable PS3 games on PSN.

I get excited until I remember how close hold Nintendo is. ALso, on your comment regarding MS and Xbox 720, they have to be careful no to cannibalize their Kinnect product. Millions of Kinnect devices were bought and people expect it not to die in a year

Nothing's "wrong" with it, but why deal with all the "does the disc have enough space" when you can just go digital distribution and not worry about the disc. Makes it easier for everyone as well.
