These are three radios that are capable of self-contained battery powered low power operation- the Elecraft K2, Yaesu FT897 and FT817.

  • When you are testing must be impartial, else it is better not to make them This test is not correct. You can see the 1 minute and 56 seconds of footage that the antenna is not connected correctly in the Yaesu. screwing the connector into the Yaesu 897 reception perfectly. Excellent Yaesu 897

  • Thanks for the video. One observation; You are assuming that the viewer knows that the radios have either an internal battery source or that they are connected to an external battery source. You never showed the battery sources. I know that the Yaesu 897D has compartments for two batteries. I do not know if the other two radios have the same kind of setup. Can you show the sources in the future?
