Chris Hillman of the bluegrass band the Hillmen, then the Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers, Stephen Stills/Manassas, Souther, Hillman, Furay Band is one the most influential musicians and songwriters. He brought Gram Parsons into the Byrds to lead them to electrified country or country-rock and made history.
Personally, I owe my love of bluegrass to Hillman.
Richie Furay's been a member of the legendary Buffalo Springfield along with Stephen Stills and Neil Young.
John David Souther is the well known songwriter of the Eagles' and Linda Ronstadt's early hits. Who could ever forget 'New Kid In Town".
