  • How old are they? I have a 5 yr old Sib Husky male thats about 80 lbs and most Malamutes easily go over 100 lbs. It may be the camera angle causing my confusion but they sure look like Huskies. You've got some beautiful dogs friend :)

  • @smelyalata not sure how old they were then but the white one is 3 now and the red ones is a year and a half. The 3 year old weighs 120 lbs lol and the the red one is only 80 lbs. Really well behaved dogs very pleased with how relaxed the breed is :)

  • Those dogs are Siberian Huskies, not their much larger cousin the Malamute

  • @smelyalata Their defiantly Alaskan Malamutes mate. Look alot bigger in the flesh :)

  • @smelyalata Since I don't know your nationally or country of residence I can only pass along to you the established standard of the American Kennel Club for the Alaskan Malamute. Standard for height and weight:[ males 25 inches and 85 pounds ], [females 23 inches and 70 pounds].

  • @heilong79 He's a purebred with papers and most definitely not overweight. He's 100% healthy and according to my vet he could actually use a couple more lbs. Yep, he's a bit bigger than most Siberians but not the biggest. A close friend has a male that tips the scales at just over 90 lbs and he's a power house of a dog..and a purebred.. CKC registered.

  • @smelyalata if you have a Sib that is 80lb then I doubt he is pure, sibs are medium sized dogs around 61lb, they should be nowhere near 80lb unless really overweight. These two are Mals, deep chested and large heavy boned its easy to see. A lot of Malamutes in the USA are badly bred and are born with long coats these are called woolly Malamutes but it is not the correct coat type maybe thats what you are thinking of when you think of a Malamue.

  • I love reading genius comments ffrom people saying those two lovely fluffs are huskies... check out them mallie smiles! obvious to someone who owns one, it should be obvious aside from size, seeing as there are variations between male/female and bloodline (giants, avergae or you just get a dainty baby, not a big deal) especially since they're playing with a doberman, not known for their small size either...

BTW Trunkstuff, you have three beautiful babies there :) gorgeous!

  • Pack animals mine are the same, u see how they are not going for each other just the doberman... great dogs!!

  • They play very well together, no signs of dominance being displayed. Also they play so quitely.....nice

  • i'm jealous gorgeous dogs, always wanted a pair since i went dog sledding in alaska

  • when your huski is 80 lbs it's meen that it's not a husky.Huskies can't be more than 60-65 lbs-this is absolute maximum of this breed.Alaskan malamute are 2 typies and their max weight can be 120-130 lbs

  • @smelyalata I think he'd know there his dogs. and they are malamutes 100% u can tell by the size and shape of their legs and paws. lovely dogs-got two mal husky crosses myself. great adorable loyal dogs
