Though the mountain is still there and the route to the top is still there,,, It has been paved all the way to the top. So they may have events there, but the legendary "Pikes Peak International Hill Climb" NO LONGER EXISTS!! Now its just a windy road up a mountain. Some group of environmental fucktards are most like the reason for the end of this world famous event. Sure they still have time trials to the top but it is not the same.
