Evinrude Johnson OMC trim tilt repair 2 wire

Salvaged this off a motor that crapped out at the end of last summer. I think the gurgle is either a on it's last legs motor or maybe just needs fluid. Sounds similar to cavitation or pump run out?

after i swapped the motor to a 3 wire and filled it up with fluid it went away. I think that sound is cavitation caused by low fluid level or a worn motor impeller. I somewhat doubt the later as i think it made the same sound when mounted on the transom. So what i'd do is try and put more fuild in, purge the air best you can and see if it goes away. If it doesn't, either live with it till the motor dies or swap the motor.
