@PghTrainFanatic cool. i do that a lot when i forget my tripod. tip of advice don't buy a monkey tripod that grips onto anything. it is terrible for railfanning

Nick......I have been going to horseshoe curve since i was a young boy when my Dad was an engineer on the Pennsy......It's a lot easier getting to the top now with the incline fanicular........Years ago they had wooden steps you had to walk up to the top of the curve and at the bottom there was no gift shop or museum .....just an old Pennsy caboose that was converted into a refreshment stand

@escape150 Thanks Ron! I actually walked the step up and down, the incline car only goes every 15 mins. so I wasn't about to wait! LOL I was too anxious! Its a really cool place that I will definitely visit again soon!
