Profile: Verüshka Vázquez, Graduate Student in Speech-Language Pathology at IUP

Growing up in Puerto Rico, Verüshka Vázquez came to IUP to study speech-language pathology as an undergraduate and now continues as a graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology. She said her studies have offered multiple opportunities to further her skills in the clinical, educational, and hospital settings. By student teaching in schools and working in Head Start programs, she has gotten real-world, hands-on experience working with language disorders, articulation disorders, and other problems she is likely to encounter as a professional speech-language pathologist.
