  • You are no different than those who disapproved of your music when it came around. Thankfully it's not up to you types, or music would never evolve.

  • @superkulmedkniv25 im not talkng about the 'right way' at all man. i agree that music shudnt always be played 'the right way' amen to that dude thats how music evolves.. but yeh he just didnt strike me as incredible at free jazz drumming in this performance. sorry buddy but i have seen waaay more better free jazz drummers.

  • Softest punchiest kick drum ever

  • Calling Steve Reid anything else than an amazing drummer is rediculous. He's not playing by the book here, and for someone who have no ability to appreciate music on non - academic terms, he might sound like an amateur in this performance. BUT, I can assure you that Steve Reid COULD play "the right way" if he wanted to, but after a while, that shit gets boring. The fact that Reid didn't give a fuck about stuck up nitwits like Mr. Dickhead here is part of what makes him a legend.

  • @YesImADickhead Steve Reid plays a style of drumming that focuses on free expression and interrupting/defying the expectations of the listener. Free Jazz itself is not a style that I'm a fan of when it comes to Jazz as a whole, but the drumming is really difficult to accomplish. It's less of a technical endeavor than an intuitive and contrary style that's supposed to make you think about how the music is made and get more involved in it.

  • @YesImADickhead "interlectual" lol

  • @peterbriers oh wait.... and type in steve reid on wikipedia and you literally copied and pasted the first 3 sentences!! hahahahha what a fucking moronic idiot. i was actually impressed at first that u might have known that but now your just a wikipedia copier it means you have the intelligence span of a peice of shit.... CAUGHT OUT MOTHERFUCKA

  • @peterbriers ahhh what a shame! just because you can't come back to me doesnt mean you have to use a childish comment...ive heard that comeback so many times before from all the other cunts ive put in their place.... and there i was thinking you were some form of interlectual. just another youtube douchebag that thinks he can insult sumbody once and then when he gets owned, tries to act alll mature with a shitty smart arsed comment on his next reply... pathetic!

  • @YesImADickhead Ssshh, Dickhead. shhhh... *puts finger on lips*

  • @peterbriers who you play with doesnt make you good asshole. ive played with drummers that can dick on this guys face in more than just jazz alone. doesnt mean im the king of drumming now does it? all im saying is, ive seen kids at my school play drums like this (kinda bad style) and they get told they are bad. i dont know why this guy gets told hes amazing when he does the same as them. maybe my schools full of "amazing musicians".. no its not.

  • @YesImADickhead Steve Reid was an American jazz drummer who played with a wide range of artists including Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, James Brown, Fela Kuti and Sun Ra, and as a session drummer for Motown.

Yes, you are a dickhead. :p
