The Most Famous Bollywood Movie Star Mr. Shahrukh Khan Appointed The Honorary Ambassador of Korea (Culture & Tourism) In India. The Ceremony was held on October 15, 2009 from 4 p.m. onwards at the Taj Lands End Hotel, Mumbai, India. Subsequently, Korea also conferred upon Mr. Shahrukh Khan the title Honorary Black Belt (5 Dan) of Taekwondo.
King Khan being the most popular and loved Bollywood star across the world, the Korea Tourism Organization is confident that his association with the Korea, Sparkling Brand will help in further enhancing awareness and interest in Korea among his fans.
Actor & Honorary Ambassador of Korea (Culture & Tourism), Mr. Shahrukh Khan further revealed that he has developed a keener interest in sports such as Taekwondo now because of his children son Aryan, who has won 10 gold medals in sports & daughter Suhana, whos won 3 gold medals in sports activities at the school level. Further on as the general interest in different types of sports has picked up in the nation, Mr. Khan said he feels this is a very appropriate time to associate with a country like Korea which is well-known for its strong base in sports.
